Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the MIKAPU App. By using the App, creating an account, binding a MIKAPU water cup, purchasing products, or contacting customer support, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Important Privacy Notes About This App

The international version of the MIKAPU App is designed for MIKAPU fingerprint recognition water cups and MIKAPU facial pattern recognition water cups.

The App does not provide GPS positioning, real-time location tracking, route tracking, geofencing, child location monitoring, or location-sharing functions.

The App uses Bluetooth only to discover, bind, connect, configure, and communicate with your MIKAPU water cup.

MIKAPU servers may store the binding relationship between your account and your MIKAPU water cup, such as account ID, device serial number, device model, and binding status.

The App and MIKAPU servers do not collect, upload, store, view, or access fingerprint templates, facial templates, raw fingerprint images, raw facial images, or biometric identifiers used by the water cup for recognition.

Fingerprint and facial recognition functions are designed to be processed locally on the MIKAPU water cup. The App may help you start setup, manage binding status, display device status, or request customer support, but it does not receive or store the biometric template itself.

MIKAPU may assist you in unbinding a water cup from your account through customer support or server-side tools. However, MIKAPU cannot remotely reset the water cup and cannot remotely erase biometric data stored locally on the water cup. To clear local data on the water cup, you need to perform a local reset according to the product instructions.

If any future version of the App changes these practices, we will update this Privacy Policy and request any required consent before collecting or processing additional personal information.

3. Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when it is necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

3.1 Account Information

When you create or use a MIKAPU account, we may collect:

3.2 Product Purchase and Order Information

If you purchase MIKAPU products through the App or official sales channels linked to the App, we may collect:

We do not directly collect or store your full bank card number or complete payment account credentials. Payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers, app stores, or other payment partners.

3.3 Water Cup Binding and Device Information

When you bind or connect a MIKAPU water cup through Bluetooth, we may collect:

We use this information to help you bind, connect, configure, update, troubleshoot, and manage your MIKAPU water cup.

MIKAPU may process account-device binding records on its servers. This means we may know that your account is bound to a specific water cup, but we do not receive or store the fingerprint or facial recognition templates used inside that water cup.

If you ask customer support to unbind a water cup from your account, we may update the server-side binding record. This action only removes the relationship between your account and the water cup in our system. It does not remotely reset the water cup, does not disable the physical water cup, and does not erase biometric templates or other local data stored inside the water cup.

3.4 Bluetooth Information

The App may use Bluetooth to discover nearby MIKAPU water cups and establish a connection. Depending on your operating system, Bluetooth scanning or nearby-device access may require system permission.

We do not use Bluetooth to determine your GPS location, track your movement, build location history, or monitor where you or a child goes.

3.5 Biometric Recognition Information

MIKAPU fingerprint recognition water cups and facial pattern recognition water cups may use fingerprint or facial pattern recognition to support product functions.

The App and MIKAPU servers do not collect, upload, store, view, or access your fingerprint templates, facial templates, raw fingerprint images, raw facial images, or biometric identifiers.

The biometric recognition process is designed to occur locally on the water cup. If you want to clear biometric data stored locally on the water cup, you need to perform a local reset according to the product instructions. MIKAPU cannot remotely reset the water cup or remotely erase biometric data stored inside the water cup.

3.6 App, Device, and Log Information

When you use the App, we may collect technical information necessary for operation, security, troubleshooting, and service improvement, such as:

3.7 Customer Support Information

When you contact customer support, we may collect:

3.8 Information We Do Not Collect

For the international version of the MIKAPU App, we do not collect:

If a future product function requires additional data, we will update this Privacy Policy and request any required permission or consent.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

We do not use your personal information for third-party targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction requiring a legal basis for processing, we rely on the following legal bases:

You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal of consent will not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal.

6. App Permissions

The App may request certain system permissions. You can manage permissions through your device settings.

6.1 Bluetooth or Nearby Devices

Purpose: To discover, bind, connect, configure, and communicate with your MIKAPU water cup.

If you deny this permission, you may not be able to bind or use connected water cup functions.

6.2 Notifications

Purpose: To send service-related notices, such as account security alerts, order updates, product status reminders, firmware update reminders, and customer support responses.

You can disable notifications in your device settings.

6.3 Camera

Purpose: Only if supported by the App, to scan a product QR code, upload an account avatar, or provide photos for customer support and after-sales service.

The App does not use the camera for facial recognition. The App does not collect facial biometric templates.

6.4 Photos or Media Library

Purpose: To provide account login, order services, product support, firmware checks, binding status synchronization, and App operation.

6.6 Location

The international version of the MIKAPU App does not provide location functions and does not collect GPS location or precise geolocation.

On some older Android versions, Bluetooth scanning may have historically been associated with location-related system permission. If such permission appears due to operating system requirements, it is used only to discover and connect MIKAPU water cups and not to collect, store, or track your location.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

We may disclose personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

7.1 Service Providers

We may share necessary information with service providers that help us operate the App and provide services, such as:

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, asset transfer, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

In general:

When retention is no longer necessary, we will delete, anonymize, or otherwise process personal information in accordance with applicable law.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, and destruction.

These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate, permission management, logging, security monitoring, and employee access restrictions.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will take appropriate measures and notify you or relevant authorities where required by law.
